A fantastic ride thru the history of Rock Concerts in Memphis in the formative years which stretches three decades, commencing in 1955 with acts like Elvis Presley thru to the early 80's with Tom Petty and Blondie. Ron Hall's book is 170 pages consisting of numerous photos, most never seen by the public, posters, handbills and over 1,500 show listings, including opening acts. Shows at the Stadium, Mid-South Coliseum, The Auditorium, Overton Park Shell, as well as club shows at The Ritz, Club Paradise, Lafayettes, Solomon Alfreds, and many more. Rock acts that defined the 60's and 70's - such as Dylan, the Stones, The Who, the Byrds, Beach Boys, Buffalo Springfield, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Grand Funk Railroad, ZZ Top, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, the Eagles, Bruce Springsteen, and on and on. The photos tell the story! Highly recommended.
